Bardonecchia is a traditional Italian town, set in a valley on the French boarder; it is home to amazing views and pine woods. In 2006 it played host to some of the Turin Winter Olympics, the town itself is a mixture as it is a traditional market town with a variety of both traditional and modern buildings. Bardonecchia is known to have a great character with a lively atmosphere, during high season, and a good time can be had by all, in the variety of bars and restaurants, but don’t let the words lively put you off as it is also known as a friendly resort.

If you are looking for something off the slopes then there is certainly enough to entertain you. There are three main areas, which are linked to make up Bardonecchia, this makes up a skiing area of around 140km, there are a total of 24 runs of which there are 17 beginner, 24 intermediate and 1 advanced, also there are 23 lifts covering the resort so it is not hard to get around.
